John was heading back this day so we ran errands and not much else until he headed to the airport. Now there is a restaurant down by the wharf called Turtles. On Monday and Friday they have turtle races. If your number turtle wins you get to pick a key. If that key opens the box you get the cash prize. Well the kids did this last year and wanted to go back. So we head out and pay to park. Head up to the restaurant and low and behold NO turtle races that night. This kind of stuff always happens to me. Oh well, not a big deal. Lets eat, just not at turtles. Went to the raw bar restaurant which is good and not expensive. Then we headed to the Key Lime pie shop and the kids got a whole pie which we took back to the house. Some is still left in the fridge.

more of day 2 and 3
Okay, going through the pics I noticed I completely forgot some of our days events. Well, on Sunday July 10 it was our 18th wedding Anniversary. Something surprising also, our friends from way back when were celebrating their 20th anniversary in Key West. So we decided to try a dessert and drink place called "Better than Sex". It was a cute little place with quite an interesting selection of items. It was very dark and I didnt want to use my flash so sorry they are not the best pics. To see what they offer check out the website: http://betterthansexkeywest.com/
Day four
Well, its just me and the kids and I decided its about time they learn how to work the boat. So we loaded up the boat with snorkle and fishing gear. Then I gave them a quick tutorial on tying and untying the boat to the dock. Well, they actually helped today. We stopped to get some ice and bait(live shrimp) and away we went. It was a perfect day weather wise. The kids caught some fish but sadly none big enough to keep. We are on a quest to find the perfect fishing spot. Snorkeled and then headed back around 2:30 and just relaxed for the rest of the day.
Well our first day came and went. Day two take the boat out and go around to see some sights. We stopped down by the wharf and ate lunch at a very interesting bar/restaurant called Dante's. Yes, it has a huge pool so you can cool off in the heat. A local once told me that the homeless take baths in there at night. Not a nice thought but I figure they load it up with chlorine.
